Harry Potter’s birthplace

Living on the doorstep of the historic village of Lavenham, I thoroughly enjoy an occasional visit. The iconic buildings are so often a feature of artist’s work. 

De Vere House in Water Street,Lavenham, was the film setting for the first Harry Potter Film. A pen and wash study. One of those paintings that proved far trickier than I realised, with all those window panes!  The original painting is sold but limited edition prints are available.
